This suit is absolutely great. My 2 year old knows the basics of swimming, but still needs me to hold him to stay afloat. With this suit, it is completely independent. The suit continues to teach him because he has to tread water and move the hands to stay afloat, but not me at his side at all times. They can use them in the pool, and even jump into the pool without me by his side. Of course I have to be near them, just in case ... but I can relax and sitside, while he swims around.
